What You Need to Know
In our consistent effort to streamline the map development process, we're rolling out the first version of a new feature called "The Directory." With this latest addition, you, the publisher, have access to the information stored in a backend catalog of your previously featured venues, including:
Venue name, address, phone number, and coordinates
Call to Actions (CTAs)
At this time, your directory will not be visible. Instead, when you want to include a formerly featured venue in a new map, you will be prompted by a message asking if you want to autofill the venue’s information with previously used content. From there, you will have the option to select either “Yes” or “No.”
***Note: Venue (+ venue details) will be automatically stored after its initial entry. You cannot manually index venue information into your directory.
How to Access and Use The Directory
From the above example, you can see that Cold Cookie Co populated in the “Venue Name” dropdown menu. This means the publisher featured Cold Cookie Co on a previous map. Now, they want to feature Cold Cookie Co on their new map: “Hot Day, Good Food - The Quicklist!” Once the publisher selects Cold Cookie Co, Vessel asks them if they want to autofill the content from their directory. By clicking “Yes,” Vessel autofills the venue with content, CTAs, and location information.
